About The Womb Cave

The Womb Cave was birthed in 2020 when I was started a healing and curious

journey with my womb. Through retreats, ceremonies, online courses, shamans

and therapists I learnt to connect with myself, my womb and my body better than

ever. I then in 2021 attended a conscious & sober festival, yet when I came on my bleed I had nowhere to go, other than back to my tent, and then came the moment where I needed to wash my reusable pad and myself, again I had minimal options so I ended up washing my pad with a line of people waiting to fill up their water bottles, feeling sensitive, observed & watched.

I knew this had to change so I started to mind map the idea of having a bleeding space at festivals. The ideas started flooding in and people's support and encouragement has helped me get to where it is today.  It has transformed a lot through the years. I have studied the history of red tents and ceremony, the art of holding space and am now diving into studies on inclusivity, privilege and cultural appropriation.  This space is no longer just about bleeding, as powerful as this time is these spaces are now about creating change, about being part of a ripple effect to change the very structures that disempower, restrict and control us. It is about using slowness, connection to the earth and our bodies and creating a healthy culture that is cyclical and full of earthly delights.

I send my thanks and deep appreciation to the many indigenous tribes and communities that kept these traditions of ceremonies, initiations, connection to earth and much more alive, whilst the UK lost ours through many wrongdoings and the massacre of those who tried. To the Witches who were burnt, I thank you and you will not be forgotten. Whilst here in the UK we try to bring back culture, community and ceremony to heal together it is vital we acknowledge our ancestors before us and the practices we are using to heal that aren't from our lineage.

Our Mission

Our mission is far greater than to just set up a tent, but it is to be the  the spark to a womb and earth led revolution.  To be the start of a ripple effect that helps bring back all that we lost and bring forth all that we need. Connection, Intimacy, Safe and Nourishing spaces, Community, Education, Initiations and much more.

The Womb Cave (Bleeding Space)

This is the bleeding space. It is a 5m bell tent with a 2 meter porch, It is draped in beautiful red materials, it has a fluffy red rug, a large red bean bag, red cushions and blankets and of course an altar. This space is for womb keepers. The intention for The Bleeding Space is for all who bleed to come and rest, be pampered, be nurtured, be heard and held and to be offered herbal teas, cacao, hot water bottles, and much comfort. We  want to make sure that no person who comes on their period at an event or festival then feels alone,  disappointed or worried. We want help bring in celebration that can be met with joy, grace and in ceremony. You don't have to be bleeding to come in, come in to connect to your womb, to slow down,  to process, reflect and connect to other womb bearers. There are occasional guided meditations, singing circles and sharing circles within the space.
